Semi Truck Stuck Dangling Off I-94/ Wayne Road Overpass [PHOTO]
ROMULUS (WWJ) - No one was hurt, but there were some tense moments Tuesday while police dealt with a truck dangling off the side of a freeway overpass.
WWJ Traffic Reporter Lorna Stevens said they were alerted to the situation, along I-94, by witnesses Tuesday afternoon.
"It's right at Wayne Road, we have a semi that is stuck up on a railing and it's dangling over Wayne Road as a result," Stevens said.
Eastbound I-94 was closed at Wayne Road and Wayne Road was shut down in both directions for a couple hours as a result of the accident — in the Romulus area, near Metro Airport.
Police had cleared the scene and I-94 had reopened to traffic shortly after 5 p.m. Wayne Road remained closed as of 5:15 p.m.
It wasn't immediately clear what caused the accident.
