Report: Pistons Pursuing Sacramento Point Guard Isaiah Thomas

CBS DETROIT - Along with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, the Detroit Pistons seem to be quite interested in Sacramento Kings starting point guard Isaiah Thomas, according to NBC's Pro Basketball Talk.
Though just 5-feet-9-inches tall, Thomas averaged 20.3 points and 6.3 assists for the Kings in 2013-2014 while shooting 45.3 percent from the floor. Just 25 years old, Thomas - now a restricted free agent - has already played in the league for three years, and his statistics have largely trended upward as he has gotten more playing time.
Pro Basketball Talk reports that the Pistons have shown the most interest in Thomas, starting discussions around the range of $24 million over three years, while other teams - ones more widely regarded as contenders - have apparently begun talks closer to a mark of $6 million or $7 million per season.
Starting most games at point guard for Detroit last season, Brandon Jennings averaged 15.5 points and 7.6 assists per game in 2013-2014 for Detroit, where he arrived after spending the first four years of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. He signed with the team last summer for upward of $25 million over three years.
