Report: Lions RB Mikel Leshoure Open To Trade

After carrying the load in the running game for the Detroit Lions last season, Mikel Leshoure would reportedly welcome a trade to a team that would have more use for him this season, according to ESPN.

Detroit's second round pick in 2011, Leshoure has not dressed for either of the Lions' games this season after rushing 798 yards and scoring nine touchdowns for the team in 2012. The Lions' number one and number two backs are Reggie Bush and Joique Bell, respectively. The Lions dress a third running back for games, but so far they have chosen Theo Riddick because Riddick can be used on special teams as well as in the run game.

According to ESPN, Leshoure would be like to be on a team that runs the ball more.

With Bush getting hurt in a game for a second straight week, however, and this time unable to finish the game, the Lions may have more use for Leshoure than they had planned after all.
