Red Wings To Hold 'Wings For Wishes' Night On Thursday

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings will host their fourth annual 'Wings for Wishes' Night to benefit Make-A-Wish® Michigan on Thursday, March 24 when the team takes on the Montreal Canadiens at 7:30 p.m. (FOX Sports Detroit / 97.1 The Ticket). In its first three years, 'Wings for Wishes' Night has raised more than $50,000, which has helped Make-a-Wish Michigan grant the wishes of six Michigan children.

The Red Wings will host wish kid Reese and his family to the team's morning skate at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Joe Louis Arena. Reese, who is battling a life-threatening seizure disorder, will receive an exclusive opportunity to meet the entire Red Wings team and tour the locker room following the morning skate. The Red Wings also have invited Reese and his family to the game on Thursday night, where they will participate in several in-game experiences, such as watching warm-ups from the penalty box and riding the Zamboni during intermission.

Captain Henrik Zetterberg and his wife, Emma, will host Reese and his family, along with several other wish kids and their families, in the Zetterberg Foundation Suite during Thursday's game. The guests will be treated to complimentary food and beverages along with Red Wings merchandise.

Fans attending the game can support Make-A-Wish Michigan by purchasing autographed Red Wings pucks on the concourse behind Section 126 when doors open at 6:00 p.m. For $40, fans will have the opportunity to purchase from an assortment of 300 hockey pucks signed by various players on the 2015-16 team. Fans can also purchase Make-A-Wish T-shirts for $20 behind Section 126 to show their support for the cause.

A portion of the proceeds from all the evening's activities, including the Red Wings Foundation's 50/50 raffle, will benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan and go toward granting wishes of children facing life-threatening medical conditions.
