Red Wings Fall In OT To Predators 4-3
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (97.1 THE TICKET/AP) - Goals by Jordin Tootoo and Pavel Datsyuk in the third period to tie the game not enough as the Detroit Red Wings lose to the Nashville Predators in overtime 4-3 Tuesday night.
Shea Weber scored 44 seconds into overtime to give the Nashville Predators the victory against the slumping Detroit Red Wings.
Daniel Cleary snapped in a shorthanded goal for the Wings in the first period - he also had an assist on Datsyuk's third period shot.
Craig Smith, Gabriel Bourque and Roman Josi also scored for Nashville, which had lost its last two games. The Red Wings have dropped four straight.
Coming down the right side, Weber collected the rebound of Colin Wilson's shot and beat a diving Jonas Gustavsson, who replaced injured goalie Jimmy Howard midway through the first period.
