Red Wings 4, Bruins 2
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - The Detroit Red Wings get back to back victories over the Bruins, beating Boston 4-2 Sunday at Joe Louis. In the last two games the Wings have only allowed three goals.
Todd Bertuzzi scored two goals for the second straight game, contributing again to a Detroit victory over Boston.
Bertuzzi and Pavel Datsyuk had game-tying goals early in the game. Kris Draper had a go-ahead score midway through the second period and Bertuzzi sealed the victory with 6:25 left in the game.
Detroit's Jimmy Howard made 23 saves and talked about the victory post-game on 97.1 The Ticket saying, "Great team effort the guys did another great job pushing them away..."
Rookies Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand gave the Bruins leads in the first period and Tim Thomas stopped 32 shots for them.
The Bruins had won four of five before their back-to-back losses to the Red Wings.
