Recognizing Pulmonary Hypertension
DETROIT (WWJ) - Pulmonary hypertension -- it's a disease which affects women four times more often than men. That's according to Pulmonologist Ghulam Saydain at the Detroit Medical Center's Detroit Receiving Hospital.
Saydain told WWJ Newsradio 950's Pat Sweeting Pulmonary Hypertension can be mistaken for asthma or shortness of breath. Unfortunately, it's
frequently not diagnosed until it's in the latter and, more often, fatal stages, he said.
