Recall Campaign Targets Oak Park Officials
OAK PARK, Mich. (WWJ) - A recall campaign is taking aim at three city officials in Oak Park.
Mayor Pro Tem Angela Diggs Jackson, along with councilmen Emile Duplessis and Paul Levine, are accused of putting the city's future finances at risk. A group called Save Oak Park is gathering recall signatures. The group is upset with plans to use general fund money for a new City Hall building.
The Free Press says the group will need to collect 2,600 signatures over the next three months to get the issue on the November ballot.
