Really Phil? (Lesson On Golf Blog)

Phil Mickelson was playing poorly. Okay fine, he was awful at The Memorial tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus. Then he decides to withdraw.
He did not cite injury ( like Tiger Woods has done in the past as a reason to WD) as his reason. Instead he admitted he was playing poorly.
Poor sportsmanship ? Absolutely. Disappointed in Phil? Certainly.
Yet unlike Tiger, Mickelson at least was completely honest about the reason. I am not calling Woods a liar. How can anyone really know how someone else is feeling? All we knows is Tiger was seen driving himself home immediately after withdrawing due to a leg injury.
Not an excuse for Mickelson's lame actions , but at least we don't have to be guessing with this guy like we do with Mr. Woods.
