Reality Show Looking For Boatyard Owners & Workers
DETROIT (WWJ) - If you own or work at a boatyard, here's your chance to become famous. Phoenix-based Chelsea Entertainment hopes to put together a reality show built around a boatyard.
Three years ago Hollywood came to Michigan looking to create a boat show
and left empty handed. Well, they're back and this time looking for a boat repair facility full of characters.
WWJ's Mike Campbell spoke with Steve Moroz, who is organizing the search talked about the traits the reality show is looking for:
- A fearless tough leader with a big heart
- A funny man
- A screw up
- A pretty boy
- An endless practical joker
- A dedicated craftsman
Moroz says the show is looking for a quality shop capable of rebuilding almost any boat to a custom finish.
"The show takes ugly rundown boats in desperate need of repair and rebuilds them into dream boats for deserving people," says Moroz.
The show is being formatted after the hit shows, Pimp My Ride, Extreme Makeover and Orange County Choppers.
Anyone interested can respond with a bio and pictures of your facility and employees.
Moroz says short unedited videos are also welcome as well, but to limit time to three minutes.
