Ray McCallum Invited To CP3 Elite Guard Camp
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The 2012 Horizon League Championship MVP Ray McCallum (Beverly Hills, MI/Detroit Country Day) is in for a full weekend of competition as he will take part in Chris Paul's CP3 Elite Guard Camp. The invite-only camp is scheduled for June 8-11 in Paul's hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Paul – a five-time NBA all-star and a four-time member of the All-NBA Team – made the full college camp roster announcement on his twitter account on Thursday afternoon.
Some of the collegiate players that will be joining the two-time All-Horizon League honoree McCallum this weekend include Ryan Boatright of Connecticut, Michigan's Trey Burke, Ohio State's Aaron Craft, Seth Curry of Duke and Peyton Siva of Louisville. In all, 19 college players will be on hand. For a full list of the CP3 Elite Guard Camp, click here.
It is the second year in a row that McCallum has been invited to a summer performance camp as he competed in the Deron Williams and LeBron James Skills Academy last year prior to playing for Team USA at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
The camp is designed to help high school and college players develop their point guard skills from one not only one of the game's best guards, but an elite group of instructors that serve as camp counselors.
