Rangers 7, Tigers 3

ARLINGTON, Texas (WWJ) -  A walk off grand slam by the Rangers break a 3-3 tie in the 11th and the Tigers lose to the Rangers 7-3 on Monday night in Game 2 of the AL championship series.

As heard on WWJ Newsradio 950 - the Rangers Nelson Cruz hits the first game-ending grand slam in postseason history, for a disappointing loss for the Tigers in extra innings on the road.

The Tigers and the Rangers blew bases-loaded chances to win in the ninth.

The Tigers ended the Rangers' ninth inning with a dazzling double play that included throwing out the Texas runner at home and then relaying the ball to first for the inning ending double play.

Game 3 is Tuesday night in Detroit.

Starting pitcher Doug Fister will be on the mound for the Tigers against Colby Lewis.
