Random Thoughts By Matt Dery
1. It would be refreshing for SOMEONE in the Detroit scribe-media to have an opinion. SOMEONE to tell me just WHOM they want as Head Coach at Michigan. I read the same "breakdown" every day. I know who the candidates are. Wash, rinse, repeat.
2. If I were a UM alum or Walmart shopper, I'd want "The Mad Hatter"
Les Miles.
3. Is it bad that I really enjoy Thursday night Pac 10 hoops on FSN with Barry Tompkins on the call?
4. Rodney Stuckey is back as the starting point guard for the Pistons tomorrow night against Philly. My thoughts? Thumbs down. I see why John Kuester is re-installing him in that spot (Rodney was very ill with the stomach flu) but I kind of like Tracy McGrady running the first unit.
5. Man is Colts/Jets and Packers/Eagles must-see TV this weekend.
6. Man is Saints/Seahawks and Ravens/Chiefs must-miss TV this weekend.
7. I saw a piece on the news last night that is very inspiring and cool for the city. Props to "Brother Joe". Check it out.
8. I want to send my thoughts and prayers out to the family of Matt Spryszak. Sprizzie was a good friend and a loyal listener to 97.1 The Ticket. One more "Hey Ohhhhh" for Big Matt. R.I.P.
