Need A Job? Another Railway Recruiting Event Wednesday
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Canadian railway is looking to fill 1,800 jobs in 2011, including hundreds of conductors, and there will be more new hires in 2012.
Canadian Pacific Rail Spokesman Ed Greenberg is in Detroit with recruiters looking for conductors who will work in North and South Dakota.
Greenberg says it's an active time for the rail world.

"Primarily, it's because we are responding to the needs of our customers, we are very active, the growth is there on a number of fronts in our company. For our lines of business, everything from our bulk, like coal and grain and other agricultural products to the energy sector," said Greenberg.
Greenberg points out that the automotive industry is looking positive as well.
Another round of recruiting gets underway Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the MGM Grand Casino in downtown Detroit.
