Puck Splits In Half; Should The Goal Count?

I will be the first to say hockey is not my favorite sport. But that could change after watching this video. Now, this is a game I can enjoy. In an international game this weekend, the absurd happened. A player scored a goal with only half the puck. I know I have seen some crazy things in basketball -- where the ball will stay still on the iron and they call it a jump -- but what is a hockey ref to do if the puck splits in half and the whole puck doesn't go in the net?
