PS&E's Ticket Blitz Benefits Pontiac High School Students
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) staff, along with Belle Tire representatives, including "Tireman" delivered a truckload of much-needed school supplies to Pontiac High School students Tuesday.
The supplies were purchased with nearly $10,000 raised during PS&E's sixth annual "Two-Day Ticket Blitz" held in July. One dollar of every ticket purchased during the sale -- which offered savings of up to 50 percent on a majority of PS&E's summer events -- was earmarked to purchase school supplies for schools in need.
Supplies were purchased from the Costco in Auburn Hills and include paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, calculators, facial tissues, binders and folders, along with classroom cleaning supplies and other necessities.
To sweeten the deal, Costco donated backpacks for the students and provided special discounts on the supplies.
