Prince Fielder Out Against Detroit, Having Neck Checked
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) It was a moment many Detroit Tigers fans were looking forward to -- watching Prince Fielder take the field again, this time for the Texas Rangers.
Booing was anticipated from fans, many of whom were left with a bad taste in their mouths after the superstar slugger struggled for Detroit, and then shrugged off disappointed fan reaction.
But no one will get the chance to express their displeasure, at least not yet.
Fielder will not accompany the Rangers to Detroit, according to many on social media, so he can have what's described as a neck injury evaluated.
Will the game be less fun without him?
Tuesday, Fielder told reporters: "I don't give a f— about the Detroit series. I just want to get back."
