Previewing And Predicting UFC 124
Let's get right to it...
-Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig
Both fighters are desperate for a win to show that they still belong in the UFC. I think Stevenson will enforce his will and put a ground and pound clinic on Danzig...Stevenson by decision.
-Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira
Oliveira is a very impressive up and comer. He's currently undefeated and has been very impressive in his four UFC fights. He will be facing his toughest challenge yet in Jim Miller. Both fighters have very good jujitsu but if Miller wants to win this fight I think he needs to keep it standing. Unfortunately for him I see it going to the ground. Oliveira by submission.
-Stefan Struve vs. Sean McCorkle
Two of the tallest fighters in the UFC will battle in this heavyweight matchup. There has been a lot of trash talking between these two and this is a definite candidate for fight of the night. I don't think this one will last the full three rounds I like McCorkle by knockout.
-Thiago Alves vs. John Howard
This is another great candidate for fight of the night. Both fighters will be looking to end this fight with a knockout by using their Muay Thai kickboxing. I give the edge to Howard on the ground but I don't think either fighter wants to go there. I like Alves to return as a force in the welter weight division...Alves by knockout.
-George St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck
This is a great main event. Koscheck is a great wrestler but will try and keep this fight off the ground with his very improved striking skills. St. Pierre is very well rounded and eventually will take this fight to the ground where he will dominate. If Koscheck is going to pull off the upset it will be by knockout but I see St. Pierre playing it safe and winning by decision.
