Power Restoration Continues For Some After Severe Storms
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - About 13,000 of more than 183,000 Consumers Energy residential and business customers who lost electricity during severe storms remain without power.

"Nearly all of the more than 186,000 Consumers Energy customers that were affected by the powerful Christmas Eve storm are expected to have their electricity restored by late today," said Palkovich.
Power restoration will continue into Monday for portions of Alcona, Iosco, Gladwin, Ogema, Oscoda and Roscommon counties.
While there's a Winter Storm Watch in effect for several counties in Michigan Monday afternoon through late Monday night.

Thunderstorms followed by winds with gusts topping 60 mph toppled trees, utility poles and power lines across western and northern Michigan Wednesday and Thursday leaving many homes in the dark over Christmas.
Consumers Energy says its crews are being assisted by utility workers from five other states. Just under 10,000 are still in the dark.
The Mining Journal of Marquette reports Sunday that about 1,400 Cloverland Electric Cooperative members in the eastern Upper Peninsula still were without power due to high winds.
Customers can report an outage, check on the status of an outage, and view DTE's outage map, all from your smart phone. Customers also may call DTE Energy at (800) 477-4747 to report power outages or downed lines. DTE encourages customers to use their mobile website at dteenergy.com to report a power problem using the DTE Energy Outage Center app.
