Power Finally Returns To DTE Customers After Last Week's Storms
DETROIT (WWJ) - The power is now back for the 340,000 DTE Energy customers who lost electric service during last week's strong storms.
DTE Energy officials say crews have restored service to all but a small number of those customers – primarily individuals or small, localized outages.
The company will be completing these final repairs Tuesday, as it returns to more typical day-to-day operations.
Most of those without electricity lost service after storms late Wednesday and Thursday last week. DTE's Scott Simons said trees knocked down by storms made the restoration efforts more difficult.
