Pothole Problems On I-275
LIVONIA (WWJ) - A tire-popping pothole was causing problems Monday morning along I-275 southbound over Ann Arbor Road in Livonia.
WWJ's Bill Szumanski, over the scene in the Chopper 950, said it's in an area that's already been seeing construction slowdowns.
"Cars are going through that. Some of them are having damaged tires as a result," reported Szumanski, before 7 a.m. "We counted maybe five our six vehicles off to the shoulder -- some are changing tires, some being good Samaritans and helping."
Szumanski said the problem area is in the lane-shift, both ways before the M-14/Jeffries split and Ford Road where traffic was already slow, with only two lanes open in both directions.
