Pontiac Bank Robbed
Pontiac police are looking for a bank robber who made off with more than three-thousand dollars Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the robber walked into the Fifth Third bank on West Huron Street about 5 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect then told the teller not to try anything stupid and gave the teller six seconds or said he would shoot. Once the teller turned over the money, police say the robber calmly walked out of the bank. He was last seen heading toward Johnson Street.
Witnesses described the robber as a black male, approximately 45 years old, 5-feet eight-inches tall with a stocky build and light to medium complexion. The suspect was missing some front teeth and wearing a blue hat with ear flaps that had a puff-ball on top bearing images of snowflakes, along with a blue jacket that had words written all over it.
Anyone with information should call the Pontiac Police Department at 248-758-3341 or the FBI.
