Police: Woman Struck, Killed By Train
FENTON (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say a woman was struck and killed by a train underneath a freeway overpass south of Flint.
Emergency crews removed the woman's body from under the US-23 overpass near Silver Lake Road in Fenton around 8:30 p.m. Monday, according to a report by MLive.com.
Police said the woman, in her late teens, was walking along the rail when she was struck, and was pronounced dead at a Flint hospital. Authorities say an autopsy is expected to be completed Tuesday. Her name has not been released.
Fenton Police and Canadian National Railway are investigating the accident.
