Police Warn Of Silver Sales Scam
SAGINAW TWP. (WWJ/AP) - A precious metals scam is costing some people in Michigan their precious money.
Saginaw Township Police say a group of criminals is trying to sell one-ounce silver bars with a marijuana leaf on the front and "Point nine nine nine Fine Silver" stamped on the back.
According to police, the bars are only painted silver and aren't real. They're being sold door-to-door and in shopping center parking lots.
Anyone who encounters this scam is urged not to buy the phony silver and to contact Saginaw Township police or their local police agency.
