Police Track Pizzeria Robber In N. Oakland County
INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) - In Northern Oakland County, police are investigating a late-night robbery at a pizzeria.
It happened at the Hungry Howie's on Sashabaw Road in Independence Township. Store workers told police that someone came into the restaurant around 11 p.m. Sunday, with his face covered, and ordered everyone into the cooler at gunpoint.
Police said he fled with about $1,500. No one was hurt.
The suspect was described as a tall black male wearing a hoodie, sunglasses and a white and black bandana.
A customer was in the store at the time of the incident. Police are hoping to track him down through a telephone number he gave employees.
