Police Shut Down Detroit Strip Club
DETROIT (WWJ) - A controversial strip club in Detroit has been permanently shuttered. Michigan State Liquor Control Commission has revoked the liquor license to All Stars Strip Club on 8 Mile Road and Hubbell.
"They were conducting business when we came in. They are not eligible to stay open," said Detroit Police Inspector Vicki Yost.
Workers we caught off guard as agents, escorted by Detroit police officers, confiscated all the alcohol, all permits and licenses before they padlocked the business Tuesday afternoon.
"This is a collaboration between the city of Detroit Police Department, the city of Detroit show cause process, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office nuisance abatement process and the Michigan Liquor Control Commission," Yost said. "It's about holding businesses that fail to comply with city, state and Michigan Liquor Control code responsible."
This is the second time the bar has been shut down. All Stars Club is the same business where authorities last year discovered a 14-year-old girl among the topless dancers.
