Police Seek Tips In Brighton-area Car Break-ins

BRIGHTON (WWJ) - Police in Livingston County are trying to track down the man and woman they think are responsible for several thefts that took place outside Kensington Valley Ice Rink near Brighton late last month.

Several cars were broken into, with purses and other valuables stolen. One of the victims had her credit card used at a gas station in Lansing.

Surveillance tape shows a black man in a white t-shirt paying for gas, and a young woman inside at the cash register buying other items. The second suspect (seen in the photos above) is described as white female with pig-tails, wearing white shorts, a pink t-shirt. Police said it appeared she may be pregnant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Marc King at 517-540-7953 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP. Crime Stoppers will offer up to a $1,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest in this case.
