Police Seek Suspects In Parking Lot Carjacking
Hamburg Township police are calling it a brazen crime. Officials say two suspects, a man and woman, robbed and carjacked a 62-year-old woman in broad daylight in a Kroger parking lot near M-36.
"They pinned her against the side of her car, held a knife to her throat, and they stole her purse and then they used her car as a getaway car," Hamburg Township Police Chief Steve Luciano told WWJ.
Luciano said witnesses were able to help the woman by calling 9-1-1. The two suspects then fled in a white 1999 Pontiac Grand Am with the License plate BAS-3426.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
