Police Seek Public's Help To Find Missing Farmington Hills Man

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Farmington Hills Police are looking for a missing elderly man who may not understand English.

Gennady Fudym, 61, is considered an at-risk missing person, meaning he has some memory problems and could be disoriented.

According to police,  Fudym's primary language is Russian.  While he did at one time speak English, his memory impairment has caused him to lose much of this ability.  He may now be unable to understand and respond to anyone who speaks to him in English.

Police believe Fudym left his Farmington Hills home late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. He was last seen in the area of 13 Mile Road  and Drake driving a 2005 Honda Pilot, light blue in color with a silver tint, Michigan license plate BRC4072.

Fudym is described as 6 feet 7 inches tall and around 160 lbs., bald on top with grey hair on the sides.

He was last seen wearing a cream-colored baseball hat, gray jacket, blue sweat pants, and black Velcro athletic shoes. Police said he left without his wallet or ID.

Anyone who believe they've seen Fudym or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call Farmington Hills Police at 248-871-2610.
