Detroit Police: Person Of Interest In Fatal Assault Turns Himself In

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police says a person of interest in connection with a deadly assault has turned himself in.

Police said they believed Danny James Robinson II may have information pertaining to a shooting on Dec. 11 around 8:40 p.m. that left one man dead.

According to authorities, the victim is between 50-60 years old and was pronounced dead at the scene when medics arrived at the home on Cortland on the city's west side.

Friday,  Robinson was in custody.

"Thanks to our media partners for airing this information," police said Friday, Robinson turned himself in to the third precinct.

He was then arrested on a felony warrant for unrelated charges.

The investigation relating fatal assault is still ongoing
