Police Searching For Suspect In Fatal Shooting On Detroit's West Side
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help finding a suspect wanted for the shooting death of a man on the city's northwest side in July.
The incident took place at 2 a.m. in the 20100 block of McIntyre near W. 8 Mile Road and Lahser Road on July 8.
Cameron Houston Jr. was sitting in the car with his girlfriend and nephew, when the suspect approached and asked "where is the weed." The suspect then pulled out a silver revolver and said "give me everything."
Houston grabbed the gun and was shot in the hand. The suspect then shot Cameron in the leg and fled in an older model Oldsmobile Alero.
The suspect is an unknown black male, approximately 20 to 25 years old with a slim build, medium to dark complexion, stubble-like low mustache, unconnected beard hanging down one inch in length, with dark brown eyes and two thick black braids going towards the back hanging down to his neck.
He was wearing a white t-shirt under a black hoodie and blue jeans.
