Missing 57-Year-Old Detroit Woman Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say a woman who disappeared on New Year's Day has been found safe.

Marybeth Griffin went missing on  Jan. 1 around 6 p.m. by one of her family members at her home in the 17000 block of Detroit Street. Her daughter became concerned because, she said, it's unusual for her mother to be gone this long and not contact anyone.

The afternoon of Monday, Jan. 8, police said Griffen had been located "and is doing fine."

No further details were released.
