Police Search For Trio Of Suspects After Fatal Shooting, Robbery
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for three suspects who killed a man and robbed another on the city's west side.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Friday on Linwood and Hooker streets, in a neighborhood just north of the I-96/1-94 interchange.
According to police, two men were walking along Linwood when they were approached by three people -- two who had weapons drawn. The suspects opened fire, striking one of the men multiple times. The other man was ordered to the ground and robbed. The suspects then fled the scene.
The injured victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
Police did not immediately provide physical descriptions of the suspects.
