Police Search For Suspects Who Shot Motorcyclists, Killing 1
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are trying to track down the men who fatally shot one motorcyclist and injured another.
The incident happened around 11:55 p.m. Friday at Myers Road and the service drive of the Lodge Freeway, just south of McNichols Road on the city's west side.
Police say the male victims, 50 and 34, were stopped on their motorcycles at a traffic light when the suspects drove up in a vehicle and fired shots. Both victims received gunshot wounds to the body.
According to police, the older victim is hospitalized in good condition, but the younger victim has died from his injuries. Names were not immediately released.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time.
The two suspects are only described as black males who are armed.
