Police Search For Gunman Suspected Of Killing MSU Student
EAST LANSING (WWJ) - Police have released surveillance camera images of a man suspected in the shooting death of a 20-year-old Michigan State University student.
The photos show the suspected gunman arriving the off-campus Cedar Village apartment complex and leaving just minutes later, around 8:50 p.m. Friday. The complex is less than a mile away from the school's East Lansing campus.
Police say the gunman fired several shots, injuring two students. Both were rushed to Sparrow Hospital where Dominique Nolff, a MSU sophomore, later died. The other victim, Nolff's 20-year-old roommate, was treated and released.
East Lansing police said the shooting does not appear to be a random act, although they did not elaborate.
Police said the suspect may have "significant facial injuries" from a struggle with his victims. He is described as a 20- to 25-year-old African American, 6'1" to 6'3" tall and 170 pounds. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a black, hooded North Face winter jacket, tan pants and black shoes.
