Police Search For Rochester Hills Vandals
ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) - Oakland County Sheriff Deputies are searching for the suspects who are responsible for a series of vandalism attacks in Rochester Hills.
Investigators say there have been more than 30 reports of damaged property, which include broken windows on cars and houses. The vandalism took place between Sunday night and Tuesday morning in the area around South Boulevard, Hamlin Road, Dequindre and John R. Police say nothing was taken in the incidents and it appears the acts were simply senseless vandalism.
Authorities say there is some evidence that a pellet gun was used to shoot out some of the windows, while some other object was used to break others. Deputies say the damage was so bad that while they were following up on several incidents, they saw other damage while driving through the neighborhoods.
The damage reported to date is estimated as being valued at $5,000 to $10,000.
The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who has information regarding those responsible for these incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
