Police Search For More Victims Of Man Who Allegedly Raped Teen Runaway
TROY (WWJ) - Police are asking the public for help in finding any other victims of a man accused of raping a teenaged runaway.
The investigation started last month when a 17-year old victim told police she was attacked in Christopher Hill's Troy home. Police say the victim had a bruise to her head and minor injuries to her neck and arms indicating a possible struggle.
While police were checking out 48-year-old Hill's home, they found numerous sexual provocative materials along with a camera and tri-pod set up. Police say Hill told them he knew the victim was a 17-year-old who ran away from home. He told officers the girl had been staying with him since November 2012.
Days later, police say Hill made admissions to taking nude photos of the victim and engaging in sexual activity with her while recording the activities.
Investigators then talked to the victim, who told them Hill had assaulted her on Feb. 4 at his home when she would not consent to sex. Afterward, police obtained a search warrant and confiscated computers, computer drives, cameras, a smart-phone and sexual material from Hill's home.
Hill was arrested after Troy police investigators conducted extensive forensic testing of the confiscated computer equipment and found multiple nude photos and videos of the victim.
Hill was arraigned on March 15 in 52-4 District Court in Troy on multiple charges, including three counts of child sexually abusive activity (each a 20-year felony), three counts of using a computer to commit a crime (each a 15-year felony), two counts of criminal sexual conduct -- third degree (each a 15-year felony), and one count of domestic violence (a 93 day misdemeanor). Hill was ordered to jail until his next court date on March 18.
The Troy Police Department is seeking public assistance to locate any other possible victims of Hill. Anyone with information of potential victims is asked to call 248-524-3450 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
