Police Search For Masked Men Who Robbed Elderly Detroit Couple
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for three suspects who ransacked and robbed an elderly couple's home on the city's northwest side.
Police say the suspects were wearing masks when they forced their way into a home on Otsego Street, near Elmhurst and Dexter, around 12:15 a.m. Friday.
According to the victims, one suspect hit the 74-year old man while two others ran through the home and took various items. The suspects then stole the victims' minivan and fled the scene.
The man was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. A 76-year-old woman who was inside the home at the time of the attack was not injured.
The only description of the suspects is that they were black males, one of them about 135 pounds. The victims told police one the men was armed with a weapon.
