Police Search For Man In Farmington Hills Attack
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Police are searching for a 19-year-old man who they believe killed a member of his family in a gruesome murder in Farmington Hills. Two other family members were also attacked and are currently hospitalized.
Several schools are on lockdown as police go door-to-door in the 11 Mile and Orchard Lake area. Investigators are awaiting a search warrant to further examine the family home, located on Rose Hill Drive - the site of the brutal attack early Monday morning.
Farmington Hills Police Chief Chuck Nebus said the son - Tucker Robert Cipriano -- along with another person -- broke into the home just before 3 a.m. and a violent and deadly confrontation began.
"The father in the home is deceased. We believe he's 52 years of age. His wife and one other teenage son are in critical condition right now. We have a teenage son that escaped the home and a younger daughter that escaped that our detectives are spending time with," Nebus said.
Chief Nebus says the victims' names won't be released until family has been notified.
Nebus said they believe Cipriano is no longer in the area, but they are not taking any chances and will continue canvassing the surrounding neighborhood.
Police are now searching for a dark blue 2002 Ford Ranger compact pickup truck, with Michigan license plate C-H-G-7-9-6-2.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
