Police Need Public's Help To I.D. Armed Robber
DETROIT (WWJ) The photos below are of an individual wanted for the robberies of several " Family Dollar Store" businesses on the eastside of the city.
The suspect robbed three different locations on Detroit's east side.
The first crime occurred in the 10000 block of Gratiot on January 5th at 8:15 p.m., the second occurred on January 19th in the 4000 block of Conner at 7:55 p.m., and in the 7000 block of Gratiot at 8:40 p.m.
During the robberies, the suspect would enter the store through the front doors, walk up and down the aisle as if shopping or approach a clerk to ask where an item was located, and then produce a handgun.
The suspect would order victims to lie on the floor while he demanded the clerk to open the "drop box".
The suspect then fled on foot or may have escaped in a 2003-04 Silver Ford Taurus.
DESCRIPTION: Black Male, 20-25, 6'3", has dark complexion, medium build, , clean-shaven, wearing a gray skull-cap, black pants, gray vest with a black coat underneath, black knit gloves, gray jeans and Nike boots.
