Police: Missing U-M Student Likely Alive
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Police believe former University of Michigan student Brice Moss is still alive, nearly a week after his mother first reported him missing.
Moss, 21, disappeared early last Saturday morning from a campus-area apartment. Moss's mother told WWJ Newsradio 950 that she reported him missing after he failed to show up for graduation.
Ann Arbor police Lieutenant Renee Bush said signs point to Moss leaving on his own terms.
"All indications are that he has voluntarily left, however, he's still considered a missing subject," Bush said.
According to the university, Moss hasn't enrolled in classes since last spring. Also missing is Moss's tan 1999 Lincoln Town Car. Authorities believe he could be in danger, but they have found no signs of foul play.
Lt. Bush remained optimistic that Moss will come out of hiding very soon.
"We're hoping that he will reach out to his family or friends and let somebody know that he's okay." Investigators believe that Moss might have gone to visit friends at other universities.
