Police: Missing Teen May Be In Metro Detroit
An Amber Alert for a 15-year old girl in Sanilac County has been cancelled. Police now say they don't believe Nicki Beltkowsi was kidnapped, but instead ran away with another teen near the Applegate area. The pair has yet to be located. Police said Wednesday that mobile phone pings are indicating she may be in the Detroit area. Nicki Andrea Beltowski, from Sanilac County, is 5'3'' with brown hair. She always wears a necklace with a key.
Sheriff's deputies had earlier said the teen may have been kidnapped by 14-year old Tyler Anthony Carter. According to police, Carter often wears camouflage and has been known to carry weapons.
The pair is believed to be traveling in a white Ford Crown Victoria, plate number CDH 6632, with a Marine Semper Fi plate on front and marine and fire department decals on the back.
Anyone with information on the missing girl or the car is asked to contact police.
