Police: Man Who Exposed Himself At Downtown Royal Oak Starbucks Arrested
ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - A 41-year-old Detroit man was arrested after police say he exposed himself at a downtown Royal Oak Starbucks.
Royal Oak police responded to a call about a flasher at the 300 S. Main Street coffee shop just after 10 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, the suspect ran out the door, jumped in a car, and a pursuit began.
Police said they followed the suspect southbound down Main Street as he refused to stop and tried to evade officers by driving through residential neighborhoods.
Police said they were eventually able to corner the suspect, who stopped in the 300 block of E. Parent.
That's where the fleeing suspect, Dionne Harris, was taken into custody.
Dionne Harris was arraigned in 44th District Court Tuesday afternoon on one count of fleeing and eluding, second degree — which carries up to a 10 year prison sentence — and one count of indecent exposure, which carries up to a one year sentence.
Bond was set at $20,000
Harris has prior convictions for fleeing and eluding a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearms, felony possession of a controlled substance and retail fraud, according to police.
He's due back in court for a hearing this Friday.
