Police Believe Man Died Of OD After Strangling Woman
FERNDALE (WWJ) - Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide which took place, in part, on Marshall Street in Ferndale.
Police discovered the body of a 39-year-old woman in the backyard of her home around 5 a.m. Sunday.
The family of the man who allegedly killed her had notified them.
Police say Matthew Bush called a family member this morning to say he had killed his friend and then taken a large amount of drugs to take his own life. When police arrived at Bush's Hazel Park home, they found him dead.
Police believe that 36-year-old Bush drove to Ferndale and strangled his ex-girlfriend, and then drove back to Hazel Park and killed himself.
The identity of the victim has not been released as police continue to investigate the crime.
