Police Investigate Possible Break-In At Flint Mayor's Office
FLINT (AP) - Police in Flint are investigating a suspected break-in at the mayor's office in City Hall.
The city says in a statement that the break-in was discovered Monday afternoon while Mayor Karen Weaver and her staff were at the office.
Police Chief Tim Johnson says an unfamiliar man was spotted walking down a hall and he was escorted out of the office. Officers checked a back door and found evidence of forced entry. Police say they're reviewing footage from security cameras in hopes of identifying the man.
Weaver says she feels threatened and hopes that police can find the man.
In December, The Flint Journal reports a television was stolen during a break-in at an executive office where files related to Flint's crisis on lead-tainted water were kept.
