Woman Dies In Crash On M-59
WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Police in Waterford Township are investigating a fatal accident that happened on M-59 early Thursday morning.
WWJ's Ron Dewey reports the accident happened on M-59 near Elizabeth Lake Road around 3 a.m.
Police say a 2007 Chevy Aveo was traveling eastbound on M-59 (Highland Road) when it rear ended a bread delivery truck that was stopped at the light for Elizabeth Lake Road.
Police say the car's lone occupant, 23-year-old female from White Lake, was killed in the crash. The driver of the delivery truck, a 42-year-old man from Royal Oak, was not injured.
Police say alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been factors in crash. An investigation is ongoing.
