Police Investigate Double Shooting At Coney Island
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are investigating a double shooting that took place at a coney island restaurant on the city's west side overnight.
Police say it happened at Legends Coney Island restaurant at the corner of West Davison and Lynnwood late Tuesday night.
Investigators remained on the scene Wednesday morning, where bullet casings and dollar bills could still be seen on the restaurant floor.
Police say a man was waiting for his order when he was confronted by an armed robber. The customer was also armed and both men exchanged fire, both striking each other. After the shooting, the robber ran off and the customer was taken to the hospital where he was last reported in temporary-serious condition.
