Police: Elderly Driver At Fault In I-94 Tanker Crash, Fire
DEARBORN (WWJ/AP) - Police say an 87-year-old driver who was trying to change lanes was at fault for a crash and tanker truck fire that closed a stretch of I-94 last month
Michigan State Police announced an update on the investigation on Wednesday, saying the man's car hit the truck in the eastbound lanes near the Detroit-Dearborn border on March 11.

Officials say his car struck the front of the tanker, 55-year-old Redford Township, and spun out in front. The truck then a third vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Woodhaven woman.
No one was seriously injured in the crash, but some major damage was done to the freeway itself.
A portion of I-94 eastbound was closed the weekend following the accident while MDOT crews poured new concrete between Michigan Ave. and Wyoming and drained an estimated 12,000 gallons of gas and diesel fuel out of the freeway's drainage system.
