Several local dentist offices are participating in collecting candy for Operation Gratitude, a volunteer organization that sends care packages filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation to U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and on Naval ships at sea.
Typical collection times at dentist offices differ, but generally range from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Make sure to call ahead and confirm before you go.
