Police Bust Detroit Brothel, Find 16-Year-Old Among Victims
DETROIT (WWJ) - What Wayne County Sheriff's officials describe as one of the largest brothels operating in the city of Detroit has been busted.
Spokesman Dennis Niemiec says more than 100 people were inside the building on East Baltimore near Woodward and Grand Boulevard when police carried out the raid early Sunday morning.
" ... drugs and alcohol (were) being sold on the first floor and on the second floor, there were several rooms and showers being used for prostitution, included in that was a 16-year-old girl who was turned over to the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force," said Niemiec.
Police confiscated a half-dozen guns, approximately 50 cars and about $10,000 in cash.
